If you want to do most of the writing but need help getting from a blank page to a finished book, I can help you through the whole process. Here's how it works.

1.  I set you up for success.

• I provide you with a workbook to help you get started. We come up with an overview and plan to complete the project. I help you get over any initial writing roadblocks you may have and get you started.

​​2. You write and choose pictures to go with your stories.

• I provide coaching on the "How to" of writing, and help you avoid many common pitfalls people encounter when writing their stories.

• We schedule regular catch-up calls to go over your writing. I provide direction and prompts, and keep us moving ahead. 

• You provide pictures to go along with each section.

​​3. We polish your manuscript.

• We send your manuscript to a professional proofreader* who will polish the manuscript, looking for grammar, punctuation, and flow issues. We work with the proofreader to create a final version of the text.

4. I edit and design the book.

• After we finalize the manuscript, I organize the material into chapters, add pictures, and design the final book. This process can take several months. Design may include fonts, title page, table of contents, timeline, chapter openers, headers/footers, page numbers, book cover, etc. You give input, and we work together to produce a book you are proud of.

5. You print your book.**

• I get the book completely ready to print and send it to the printer. You'll be amazed at the final product, and so excited to share it with your loved ones!

* Proofreader is an independent contractor who bills separately.

** Books are printed and billed by a third party. I will prepare the files according to the printing company's specifications and oversee the printing process. I primarily collaborate with BYU Print and Mail for printing. Their pricing depends on the length of the book, number of pages with a color photo, and type of cover chosen. A hardback 8.5" x 11" book typically costs about $50 for 150 pages.
