If you already have a personal or ancestral book written and just need help getting a final version into your hands, the formatting track is perfect for you.

1.  We organize and plan your book design.

• We meet together and discuss your vision for your book. We make a plan for book size, layout, chapters, photo placement, book cover, and overall design. We discuss the desired timeline for book completion.

• You provide your manuscript and any pictures that you want included in your book.

​​2. We polish your manuscript.

• We send your manuscript to a professional proofreader* who will polish the manuscript, looking for grammar, punctuation, and flow issues. We work with the proofreader to create a final version of the text.

3. I design the book.

• I organize the material into chapters, add pictures, and design the final book. Design may include fonts, title page, table of contents, timeline, chapter openers, headers/footers, page numbers, book cover, etc.

4. You review, I refine.​

• You review the design and give input. We work together and revise small details together until the book looks and feels just right.

5. You print your book.**

• I get the book completely ready to print and send it to the printer. Soon you'll be holding a book you are proud to share.

* Proofreader is an independent contractor who bills separately.

** Books are printed and billed by a third party. I will prepare the files according to the printing company's specifications and oversee the printing process. I primarily collaborate with BYU Print and Mail for printing. Their pricing depends on the length of the book, number of pages with a color photo, and type of cover chosen. A hardback 8.5" x 11" book typically costs about $50 for 150 pages.
